Women’s Football in Football Manager 26

Women's Football in FM26

Football Manager 26 introduces women’s football in a big way, it is no longer just an add-on, but fully part of the FM experience. Whether you want to manage women’s teams, alternate leagues, or mix men’s and women’s competitions in your career, FM26 makes that possible.

Deep New Database Built From Scratch

The women’s game in FM26 has its own database: more than 36,000 female players and over 5,000 support staff (coaches, medical, etc.) at launch. Every female player is rated using FM’s 20-point scale, with values calibrated to the women’s game. Animations, player models, kits, and match presentation have been tailored to reflect the real world of women’s football.

Real Differences Reflected

FM26 doesn’t treat women’s football as just a mirror of the men’s routes. Contracts are generally shorter and less likely to have release clauses; free transfers play a bigger role in the market. Wage and financial systems are adjusted to align with real-world club budgets. Injuries, recovery rates, and squad depth expectations are modeled differently where they differ in women’s football.

Seamless Career Options

You can start a game managing a women’s team, a men’s team, or a mix. Leagues for both genders can be loaded simultaneously if you wish. Switching between managing men’s and women’s teams is supported. The idea is a single ecosystem where both men’s and women’s teams coexist naturally rather than being separate modes.
