FC Champions is a competitive mode in Ultimate Team that features two stages: Play-Offs and Finals. After earning enough Champions Qualification Points through Rivals, you can enter the Play-Offs, where you play at your own pace to earn a Finals Qualification Token. Use the token to enter the time-limited Finals event, where you will compete for top-tier rewards based on your performance. Matchmaking is determined by your Form, platform, and location, with every win bringing you closer to better rewards and higher rankings.

Ultimate Team Champions Play-Offs
What Are Play-Offs?
The Play-Offs are the first phase of Ultimate Team Champions. You can compete in them whenever you like, at your own pace, but you will have a limited number of entries per Season. These entries reset at the beginning of each new Season.
How to Qualify for the Play-Offs
To enter, you will need to earn Champions Qualification Points (CQP) by playing Rivals matches. Once you reach the required CQP, you will automatically qualify and be placed into the current Play-Offs event.
Where to View Your Qualification Points
You can check your Champions Qualification Points in-game:
- 1. Go to Ultimate Team.
- 2. Navigate to Play > Ultimate Team Champions.
Alternatively, you can open the Rivals section and go to the Champions tab to see your total CQP.
How to Earn Play-Offs Rewards
- You will receive rewards after completing all matches in the Play-Offs.
- If you choose, you can end your event early and collect whatever rewards you have earned up to that point.
- If the Season ends before you finish all your Play-Off matches, you will still receive rewards based on the matches you completed.
Note: You won’t earn any rewards or progress from matches you skip.

How to Qualify for the Finals
The Finals are the second stage of Ultimate Team Champions. To qualify, you must earn enough points during the Play-Offs to receive a Finals Qualification Token. You can redeem this Token whenever you are ready to enter the next available Finals event.
How to Earn Finals Rewards
- Rewards are granted after all matches are played, or when the event ends—whichever happens first.
- Unlike Play-Offs, you can’t end the Finals early to claim rewards.
- There is also a stricter time limit, so if you don’t complete all matches, you will only get rewards for the games you played.
Finals Token Usage
- You can redeem your Finals Token at any time to join the next Finals event.
- If you don’t use your Token before the Season ends, it will carry over to the next Season.
- Once you start a Finals event, you cannot cancel or postpone it—your entry is final.
Matchmaking in Champions Play-Offs and Finals
Matchmaking is determined by:
- 1. Your location – to connect you to the closest FC Game Data Center.
- 2. Your Form – based on your current win/loss record in either Play-Offs or Finals. You will be matched with players at a similar Form level. Form resets at the start of both competitions—it begins at 0.
- 3. Your platform and cross-play settings
What is Form?
Form is a tally of your wins and losses during the current Play-Offs or Finals run.
Example: If your first five results are W/L/L/W/W:
- You start with Form 0.
- Win 1st match → Form is +1
- Lose 2nd match → Form is 0
- Lose 3rd match → Form is -1
- Win 4th match → Form is 0
- Win 5th match → Form is +1
So, your Form heading into match 6 would be +1.
Cross-Platform Matchmaking
You can be matched with players on other platforms if cross-play is enabled, but only with those on the same platform generation:
- PlayStation 4 ↔ Xbox One
- PlayStation 5 ↔ Xbox Series X|S ↔ PC

Viewing Available Rewards
To see the rewards you can earn from both Play-Offs and Finals, simply check your competition progress screen in-game.
